The Lake Nona Regional Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors is made up of incredible individuals who volunteer their time and resources for the collective benefit of the Lake Nona region. We are proud that this group of professionals is on our team.

Chamber Connections Committee

Meets 2nd Tuesday 1 p.m. via Zoom. Committee plans monthly chamber connections networking events.

Diversity Policy and Diversity Committee

Tuesday, November 29 at 4:30 p.m. The Chamber believes that diversity and inclusiveness of its members is an essential element to its ability to accomplish its purpose. Diversity embodies the differences that make the Chamber’s members and their representatives unique, including, but not limited to people of different races, ethnicities, cultures, sexual orientations, genders, religions, ages and physical abilities. Likewise, diversity includes people of diverse opinions, perspectives, lifestyles, ideas and thoughts. Subgroups include Women's and Veterans' Groups.

Economic Development and Innovation

Meets 3rd Monday at 4:30 p.m at Beep Headquarters or on Zoom. Responsible for promoting economic development for the Lake Nona Region, and maintaining and promoting relations between the Chamber and governmental agencies and officials who have direct or indirect jurisdiction over the Lake Nona Region.

Education

If you are passionate about supporting our local schools, students, and educators, this committee needs your help! Help coordinate monthly supply donations to schools, support tutoring programs, and more.

Education Committee

Meets 2nd Tuesdays at 11 a.m. at Guidewell Innovation. Become an influencer and supporter of our community educational organizations. Events Committee

Meets for Signature events 2 months prior to event. Responsible for organizing and planning the Chamber’s special events, including, without limitation, its annual ''Chamber Swing Golf Tournament'', “Nona Chamber Fest”

Golf Tournament

Meets on Zoom Mondays at 3 p.m. Next Event, Friday, November 4, 2022, 8:00 a.m.

Health Committee

Meets 2nd Wednesdays, 8 a.m. via Teams. Leads our membership to healthy lives and decisions an ongoing relationship with prominent community. Cultivate health organizations that will result in informational and active programs related to health issues.

IT & Website

Responsible for evaluating and maintaining the Chamber’s technology and website.

Legal Committee

Meets as needed, attorneys only. The Legal Committee’s mission is to review and render on a pro bono basis any legal services and advice provided to or on behalf of the Chamber or the Board. In addition, the Legal Committee may also present legal issues and education to the Chamber’s members through seminars, workshops and other events.

Marketing & Communications Committee

Meets 3rd Monday at 3:30 p.m. via Zoom or Beep Headquarters. Establish a social media messaging campaign aimed to raise visibility and value awareness of the Lake Nona Regional Chamber of Commerce – showcasing key relationships and partnerships that are vital to the economic development of the Region and clearly demonstrate the leadership of the Chamber within the community.

Membership

Meets 2nd Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. on Zoom. Responsible for recruiting new Members for the Chamber, maintaining the Chamber’s existing Members and appointing ambassadors for the Chamber to communicate with Members and make them feel welcome. Responsible for Chamber Connections and Membership Orientation.

Membership & Ambassador Committee

Meets every first Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. Responsible for recruiting new Members for the Chamber, maintaining the Chamber’s existing Members and appointing ambassadors for the Chamber to communicate with the Members of the Chamber. Teams include: Current Members, New Members & Greeters.

Military & Veterans Affairs

The MVAC serves as the link between the civilian business sector and the military & veteran business sectors. ?Help empower veterans with tools, mentorship, and networking opportunities essential for success beyond their service.

Non-Profit

This committee is made up of representatives of non-profit organizations. Meet virtually every month to discuss your fundraising needs, events, volunteer opportunities, and more. Also learn about opportunities the chamber has to help bring more visibility to your non-profit.

Non-Profit Committee

Meets every second Tuesday from 12pm to 1pm through Zoom. We are a source of information about community non-profit organizations while also providing our members volunteer opportunities that will include both manpower and financial support to deserving local charities. Support community non-profits, particularly member organizations, to forward their efforts within the community

Nona Find Committee

Meets Mondays at 3 p.m. Scavenger Hunt to tour the Lake Nona region, supporting businesses and enjoying landmarks.

Programming

Meeting begin soon. Spearheaded by a team of Chamber Members, the Programming Committee aims to bring to our members and community, hot topics and emerging issues. Our guest speakers and topics include but are not limited to, Economic Development, Sports, Health, Entertainment, NASA, Local and State Government. We seek monthly guest speakers to present, educate and inform our Breakfast & Business Luncheon sessions thereby bringing together subject matter experts, thought leaders and economic influencers in forums that vary based on the scope and urgency of the subject matter.

Taste of Nona Event Committee 2017

Members of the Chamber who are serving on the committee planning the annual Taste of Nona Signature event.

Tourism

Research the growing tourism market of the community to provide our members with assistance for marketing and organizational plans while also cultivating the tourist market for the community.

Young Professionals Group

Meets Third Tuesdays, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Lime Fresh Patio. ''The purpose of the group is to create networking and educational opportunities for young professionals in the area.''
