Responsible for promoting economic development for the Lake Nona Region, and maintaining and promoting relations between the Chamber and governmental agencies and officials who have direct or indirect jurisdiction over the Lake Nona Region. Meets 2nd Monday 10:30 a.m.
Become an influencer and supporter of our community educational organizations. Create outreach programs within the membership that will enforce the ideals of the Chamber within the educational structure while also providing a strong local labor force for the future.
The Treasurer shall be the chair of the Finance Committee, which shall be responsible for developing and reviewing fiscal procedures, a fundraising plan, insurance coverages and an annual budget with the President/CEO. The Finance Committee, with the assistance of the President/CEO, shall recommend an annual budget to the Board for its approval at the Board’s annual regular meeting. Except as expressly approved by the Board, all expenditures of the Chamber must be within the approved budget.
Lead our membership to healthy lives and decisions an ongoing relationship with prominent community. Cultivate health organizations that will result in informational and active programs related to health issues.
The Legal Committee’s mission is to review and render on a pro bono basis any legal services and advice provided to or on behalf of the Chamber or the Board. In addition, the Legal Committee may also present legal issues and education to the Chamber’s members through seminars, workshops and other events.
Marketing: responsible for marketing the Chamber and its events to its Members and the public in the Lake Nona Region Maintain the Chamber’s social media sites, including, but not limited to, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter sites. Tourism:The Chamber will gather tourism information and data that will benefit our members. Research the growing tourism market of the community to provide our members with assistance for marketing and organizational plans while also cultivating the tourist market for the community.
Responsible for recruiting new Members for the Chamber, maintaining the Chamber’s existing Members and appointing ambassadors for the Chamber to communicate with the Members of the Chamber. Semi annual Membership Orientations.
The Chamber will be a source of information about community non-profit organizations while also providing our members volunteer opportunities that will include both manpower and financial support to deserving local charities. Support community non-profits, particularly member organizations, to forward their efforts within the community
Responsible for developing new programs for the Chamber’s Members to include Monthly Breakfast, Luncheon, Training Workshop Speakers.
Responsible for organizing and planning the Chamber’s special events, including, without limitation, its annual “Nona Chamber Festival” and “Taste of Nona''.
Members of the Chamber who are serving on the committee planning the annual Taste of Nona Signature event.
Responsible for evaluating and maintaining the Chamber’s technology and website.
Research the growing tourism market of the community to provide our members with assistance for marketing and organizational plans while also cultivating the tourist market for the community.
To advance, promote and protect the general welfare and prosperity of the Chamber’s individual member representatives under the age of forty (40) in the Lake Nona Region: (a) encourage participation in the Chamber’s events and programs; (b) establish, manage and promote a mentorship program; and (c) create, implement and manage other programs and events to further and achieve purpose.
