Ambassadors Group - Membership Committee

Board of Directors

This exclusive group includes only members of the board of directors and staff.

Diversity Committee

Ensure regional influence by accelerating and sustaining a diverse talent base and advancing inclusion in the Chamber and the region

Economic Development/Government Relations

Responsible for promoting economic development for the Lake Nona Region, and maintaining and promoting relations between the Chamber and governmental agencies and officials who have direct or indirect jurisdiction over the Lake Nona Region. Meets 2nd Monday 10:30 a.m.

Education Committee

Create outreach programs within the membership that will enforce the ideals of the Chamber within the educational structure while also providing a strong local labor force for the future.


Responsible for organizing and planning the Chamber’s special events, including, without limitation, its annual “Nona Chamber Festival” and “Taste of Nona''.


The Treasurer shall be the chair of the Finance Committee, which shall be responsible for developing and reviewing fiscal procedures, a fundraising plan, insurance coverages and an annual budget with the President/CEO. The Finance Committee, with the assistance of the President/CEO, shall recommend an annual budget to the Board for its approval at the Board’s annual regular meeting. Except as expressly approved by the Board, all expenditures of the Chamber must be within the approved budget.

Health Committee

Cultivate an ongoing relationship with prominent community health organizations that will result in informational and active programs related to health issues.

Legal Committee

The Legal Committee’s mission is to review and render on a pro bono basis any legal services and advice provided to or on behalf of the Chamber or the Board. In addition, the Legal Committee may also present legal issues and education to the Chamber’s members through seminars, workshops and other events.

Marketing & Tourism Committee

Maintain the Chamber’s social media sites, including, but not limited to, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter sites

Membership Committee

New and Renewed members and member orientation. Area Directors.

Non-Profit Committee

Support community non-profits, particularly member organizations, to forward their efforts within the community

Nona Festival Committee

Serve on Committee to plan and execute event or Volunteer day of event

Programming Committee

Responsible for developing new programs for the Chamber’s Members to include Monthly Breakfast, Luncheon, Training Workshop Speakers.

Taste of Nona Event Committee 2017

Members of the Chamber who are serving on the committee planning the annual Taste of Nona Signature event.

Technology & Website

Responsible for evaluating and maintaining the Chamber’s technology and website.


Research the growing tourism market of the community to provide our members with assistance for marketing and organizational plans while also cultivating the tourist market for the community.
