About Our Mission

Drowning is a leading cause of accidental child death, but since 1981, British Swim School has been dedicated to preventing it. With over 200 locations and teaching more than 20,000 students weekly, our nationwide organization is making a difference in the lives of children every day.


Requirements for Swim Instructors

As a swim instructor, you will teach students of all ages following the British Swim School aquatics program. Don't worry if you're not an expert – we provide comprehensive training to help you succeed. To get started, you'll need to meet these requirements:

- Be a confident swimmer with an understanding of all four strokes

- Have experience working with children or possess a strong appreciation for kid-focused roles

- Be enthusiastic about creating a fun and engaging learning environment (having fun at work is mandatory!

- Possess reliable transportation to reach our locations

- Be available for weekend mornings (Sat or Sun) from 8:30am-2pm and weekdays starting at 3:30pm

- A starting hourly rate of $15.00
