About Us

Established in Southern California in 1974, AO is a multidisciplinary firm specializing in architecture, design, and relationships. AO has evolved from a two-person shop designing small commercial and retail improvements to a team of nearly 300, delivering some of the world’s most sought after multifamily, mixed-use, shopping, restaurant, business and entertainment destinations. In 2019 AO celebrated our 45th anniversary and the indelible relationships that have made us a leader in our craft. Together, we took the opportunity to celebrate and reflect upon AO’s legacy of creative design and quality architecture. Today, we look forward to advancing our story, collaborating to build better communities, and developing new ways to inspire.
