Doug Harcombe, Chief Executive Officer, AdventHealth Central Florida South Market/AdventHealth Lake Nona
Doug Harcombe leads AdventHealth Central Florida's South Market as Chief Executive Officer, overseeing AdventHealth Celebration, AdventHealth East Orlando, and AdventHealth Kissimmee while spearheading the development of the new Lake Nona hospital and its linked emergency facilities.
With over three decades of healthcare leadership excellence at AdventHealth, Doug has risen through progressively senior roles from Administrator to Vice President of Operations to his current executive position. His extensive experience spans multiple markets and facility types, positioning him as a strategic visionary in Central Florida's rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.
Doug earned his Bachelor's in Business Administration from Washington Adventist University and his MBA from National Louis University. Beyond healthcare, he actively champions community causes through the Heart of Florida United Way, Central Florida Heart Walk, and Autism Awareness initiatives.
A devoted family man for 28 years, Doug is married to JoAnn and father to daughters Abby and Olivia. When he's not transforming healthcare delivery, you'll find him conquering obstacle course races, perfecting his golf game, hitting the slopes, or embracing any athletic challenge that comes his way.
Wendy H. Brandon, Chief Executive Officer, UCF Lake Nona Hospital, part of HCA Florida Healthcare
Wendy Brandon serves as Chief Executive Officer of UCF Lake Nona Hospital, a UCF Academic Health and HCA Healthcare partnership that opened in 2021. With six years spearheading the hospital's development, she has assembled an exceptional team serving Southeast Orange and Osceola Counties.
A University of Tennessee graduate with an MBA from Belmont University, Brandon has held leadership positions with HCA Healthcare since 1995. After becoming CEO of Central Florida Regional Hospital in 2008, she expanded services to include a Level II Trauma Center, Inpatient Rehab Center, and two freestanding emergency departments.
Brandon actively contributes to the Orlando community through leadership roles with Seminole State College, CareerSource Central Florida, and the Orlando Economic Partnership. Her achievements include Orlando Business Journal's Businesswoman of the Year (2017), Leadership Seminole's Leadership Legend (2019), and Orlando Power Player (2020, 2023).
Dr. Deborah C. German, M.D., Vice President for Health Affairs and Founding Dean of the University of Central Florida College of Medicine
Dr. German serves as Vice President for Health Affairs and Founding Dean of the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. Under her leadership, the medical school made history by providing full scholarships to its entire Charter Class while building a team of 900+ faculty and staff.
Her accomplishments include establishing UCF's Academic Health Sciences Center, multi-specialty clinical practice, UCF Lake Nona Hospital, Cancer Center, and 41 residency/fellowship programs across Florida.
Previously, Dr. German held executive roles at Saint Thomas Hospital, the Association of American Medical Colleges, Vanderbilt University, and Duke University.
Her distinguished career has earned numerous recognitions, including the Local Legend of Medicine in the National Library of Medicine, AMWA Presidential Award, Renaissance Woman in Medicine Award, and AAMC Women in Medicine Leadership Development Award.
Gloria Caulfield leads health and medical partnerships for Tavistock's Lake Nona community, fostering strategic collaborations that advance research, technology, and innovative wellness solutions within Lake Nona's living laboratory environment. She serves as Executive Director of the globally recognized Lake Nona Impact Forum, a premier health innovation gathering.
With executive experience at a national healthcare consulting group and as Sr. Executive Director for Community Development at Advent Health, Caulfield brings proven expertise in strategic partnerships and business development.
She serves on multiple influential boards including StartUp Health Impact Board, ChopraX Advisory Board, and LFE Capital Advisory Board, focusing on health innovation and supporting female founders in wellness-oriented ventures.
A University of Arizona alumna, Caulfield applies her visionary leadership to transform healthcare and wellbeing in Lake Nona and beyond.
Timothy J. Cooke, Medical Center Director/CEO of the VA Healthcare System
Timothy J. Cooke has served as Medical Center Director/CEO of the Orlando VA Healthcare System since January 2020. The system serves over 120,000 Veterans across Central Florida through multiple facilities, including the 134-bed Lake Nona Medical Center, a 120-bed Community Living Center, two Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Programs, and six outpatient clinics.
Prior to Orlando, Mr. Cooke directed the Martinsburg VA Medical Center and held leadership positions at VA Maryland Healthcare System, Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System, and VA Boston Healthcare System. He also gained private sector experience as Vice President of Facilities & Support Services at Caritas St. Elizabeth's Medical Center.
A VA career professional since 1990 and son of a WWII Army Veteran, Mr. Cooke holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and has completed numerous executive leadership programs, including VA Senior Executive Core Training.
Dr. Vonda Wright, MD, Orthopedic Sports Surgeon & Longevity Expert
Dr. Wright is a pioneering orthopedic sports surgeon, researcher, and authority in human performance, longevity, and women's health. Her innovative science-based approach is transforming aging perceptions globally and improving the lives of millions in mid-life.
With training from the University of Chicago, University of Pittsburgh, and Hospital for Special Surgery, she has served as Medical Director of UPMC LeMieux Sports Complex and Chief of Sports Medicine for NorthSide Health System. Dr. Wright has provided medical leadership for university athletic teams, professional ballet companies, PGA, and USA Rugby, and currently practices in Lake Nona, Florida.
As founder and CEO of Precision Longevity, Dr. Wright inspires active people of all ages to reclaim their health. Her latest book, UNBREAKABLE, the first on female longevity, was released in August 2025.
Dr. Ganpat, Psychiatrist & Healthcare Innovator
Dr. Ganpat brings a unique background in computer engineering to his dual board certifications in Family Medicine and Psychiatry, with specialized expertise in Interventional Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine.
He serves as a core psychiatrist at AdventHealth, Co-Chair of the Behavioral Healthcare Reliability Committee, and assistant clinical professor at Florida State University College of Medicine.
As founder of OneMed, he has established an innovative care model in Lake Nona that combines cutting-edge approaches with compassionate mental healthcare, now expanding to serve additional communities.
Dr. Siobhan Malany, Drug Discovery Pharmacologist & Space Researcher
Dr. Malany is an Associate Professor at the University of Florida and founder of Micro-gRx, developing life science technologies for space applications. She has launched five payloads to the ISS since 2014, studying microgravity's impact on human muscle biology using "tissue chips."
As Director of UF's In-Space Biomanufacturing Innovation Hub, she leads research on cell and tissue-based products for both space and Earth applications. Dr. Malany holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Iowa, completed postdoctoral training at UC San Diego, and was an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at the Max Planck Institute.
Her career began in San Diego's biotech industry before transitioning to space research in Florida, inspired by witnessing the final Endeavour launch in 2011.
Codi Gharagouzloo, Ph.D.
Dr. Gharagouzloo is the scientific founder and CSO of Imaginostics, a health-tech company in Lake Nona Medical City. He invented QUTE-CE MRI, transforming traditional MRI into a quantitative diagnostic tool with significant applications in neurology, cardiology, and oncology.
He holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Northeastern University, completed a T-32 postdoctoral fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, earned an M.S. in Biophotonics from École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay, and dual B.S. degrees in Physics and Mechanical & Nuclear Engineering from Kansas State University. His research background includes work as an NSF fellow at ETH Zürich.
