knee reconstruction, cartilage restoration, orthobiologics and the latest in injury prevention and performance optimization.  In addition to surgery, Dr. Wright serves at the President of Hughston Orthopedics Southeast and previously served as the founding Chief of Northside Hospital Orthopedic Institute Sports Medicine in Atlanta and the inaugural medical director of the University of Pittsburgh (UPMC) Lemieux Sports Center, home of the Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey organization.  As a team doctor, Dr. Wright serves athletes and active people of all ages and skill levels from the Division I football and olympic sport athletes of Georgia State University, the University of Pittsburgh, the Pens Elite developmental hockey teams, World Rugby 7's and 10s, Olympic track and field athletes, elite masters athletes and the players of the PGA tour championship, US Open and the professional dancers of the Atlanta and Pittsburgh ballet companies.  Dr. Wright is an accomplished researcher and author, speaks world wide and develops innovative programs for optimizing performance and minimizing injury from the ball field to the boardroom.
