SPEAKER: DR. MIA YOUNG
Dr. Mia Young is a first-generation college graduate, who received her bachelor’s degree in English Education just two years after graduating high school. She became a Language Arts teacher and remained in education for 20 years; serving in various roles. She also received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration. Mia took great risk and left the comforts of working in corporate education to build a Pre-school that focused on high quality education for children 6 weeks to age 5. Bright Scholars Early Learning Academy, right here in Lake Nona now serves more than 225 children each year and they are currently expanding their brand to a second location that will open August 2024.
In 2021, Mia and her husband joined a pediatric Urgent Care franchise in Oviedo and sold the business a year later as she realized education is her first love. As a result, she focused her attention to helping other women realize their entrepreneurial dreams by creating Self-Made Women’s Circle, an organization supporting aspiring female entrepreneurs in turning their business ideas to realities.

Dr. Mia Young resides in greater Orlando with her husband and daughter. She enjoys spending time with family, fishing, and developing businesses. As a serial entrepreneur, Dr. Young lives her life working to inspire and empower women to go after their dreams.
