COMMISSIONER MARIBEL GOMEZ CORDERO
Commissioner Maribel Gomez Cordero was born and raised in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. She has been living in Central Florida for the past twenty-three years. Commissioner Gomez Cordero earned a Master’s Degree from Webster University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling specializing in Marriage and Family. Throughout her career, she has worked for Children’s Home Society/Department of Children & Families, as a Case Manager and Dependency Unit Supervisor, and as a Clinical Therapist for Life & Work Solutions Counseling. Commissioner Gomez Cordero has always dedicated herself to work for those who experience crisis, and provides support to individuals, families and groups within her community. She is very passionate to help and assist others, and believes that these individuals are the cornerstone in ensuring that Orange County continues on a brighter path towards its future. Commissioner Gomez Cordero continues working in the beautiful community of District 4 and currently is the bridge and the voice that connects the County with the Community.

COMMISSIONER JIM GRAY
Commissioner Gray was elected to the Orlando City Commission on June 1, 2012. He has been a resident of Orlando since 1988. In addition to the his role as Commissioner, Jim is the Orlando Managing Director for CBRE, the largest commercial real estate services and investment firm in the world.
Each day he leverages his private sector philosophies to promote economic expansion and responsible growth. Commissioner Gray believes that quality, high-paying jobs for area residents typically translate into better schools, safer neighborhoods and increased home values. Oftentimes he is asked what is the key to achieving success in District 1 and each time he shares a simple formula “ Be a Good Neighbor.”
